History of Winton
American brand "Winton" was registered in 1897 by Alexander Winton, previously engaged in the production of bicycles and decided to translate your company on issue 1-cylinder cars. The first car, "Winton" was collected manually, and differed original colours in the external design.
Since 1901 under the name "Winton" began to make the racing model. Only in 1916 appeared and new versions of road cars.
In 1930, "Winton" became a subsidiary of the company "General Motors" by focusing production on freight and passenger transport. Since 1936, the company finally moved to create powertrain and began a gradual decline in sales of vehicles of the brand.
In 1962, the brand "Winton" was closed.
