History of Jmc

"JMC" - a Chinese company that manufactures cars and trucks, passenger vehicles and SUVs. Initially, the company was called "Jiangxi Automobile Manufactory". Founded in 1968, it produced a small truck, releasing them under the brand name "Genghis Khan". In 1984 the company moved to license the production of models and brands, "Isuzu", and only 2 years after it became widely known in China and a good profit.

In 1993 the company changed its name to "Jiangling Motors Co., LTD", or simply "JMC". Have been updated contracts for use in the production of the company's platform SUV brand "Isuzu". 2 years later the company began to cooperate with "Ford Motors" and in 1997 introduced on the Chinese market model Ford Transit.

In 2000, "JMC" has produced 4-door pickup Baodian intended for sale in the domestic market of China. The car was equipped with a turbocharged 2.8-liter engine Isuzu.

In 2001 the company was already considered one of the industry leaders in China, and in 2003 "JMC" was included in the top hundred enterprises in China. In 2005 the company began to supply its products to export, using the brand "Landwind". The first model of the brand, submitted to the European market, have not passed safety tests, but in 2006, "JMC" presented a new hire who received the test results from Euro NCAP 3 star out of 5.

In 2009, the company issued SUV Landwind X8 new generation, which came with a 160-horsepower gasoline engine or a 140-horsepower diesel engine.

Today the company "JMC" actively developing its dealer network in many countries of the world, trying to take in the automotive industry high position.
